Grove Fitness membership for 13-17year olds

The Grove Fitness Membership scheme caters for members under 18 years old and provides affordable  fitness to the younger members of our community. It gives 13-17 year olds the chance to improve their fitness levels whilst having fun at the same time.

The benefits of membership

Exercise will improve your stamina, strength, flexibility and health as well as help improve your confidence and concentration! It's also important to get into the exercise habit as young as possible and so variety is an important factor in our approach. The sessions include classes, squash  and circuit training  as well as cardiovascular and resistance workouts.

Programme are designed with the younger exerciser in mind and resistance sessions are kept light, focusing on muscular endurance and an emphasis on form and technique. Above all, the workouts are in a safe and friendly environment where instructors are present to assist and supervise our Grove members.

How do I join?

The sessions  run on weekdays from 4-6pm during term time.  Application forms are available at the Club and must be signed by your parent or guardian. Download an application form here

Once your form is completed bring it down to the Club to book your induction (which takes place at 4pm or 5pm on weekdays). Remember to wear loose comfortable clothing and bring some water with you.

Grove Fitness Summer Programme 2010

Over the summer holidays we offer a wider range of activities for our members aged 13 to 17 years old. This year we have increased the amount of sessions on offer, there will be boxing, circuits and capoeira classes taking place alongside squash coaching sessions. There will be an opportunity to participate in sport taster sessions for free at the Multi Sport camps run by our Sport Development Team at Sion Manning school and a week of free activities at the Westway Sports Centre.

All participants will be required to bring a completed  consent form by their parent or legal Guardian.

All are welcome, members and non members  get a free taster session. Weeks 1 and 4 are also free and participation in our summer programme will allow all those who wish to take out membership to do so without paying  any further joining fees!!
